We are able to supply remote monitoring for generators and all types of mobile plant using GPRS, with GPS tracking available.

In 2007 we were selected to provide remote monitoring and remote control of an 8Mw power package. This project was primarily driven by the cost savings of not having to have an engineer on site for every hour that the package was up and running. The machines were monitored and controlled remotely via web based portal.

This system was also linked to the bulk fuel storage tanks using capacitance level sensors and the fuel deliveries were coordinated as such maximising the delivery cost against the volume actually delivered.OPS have supplied and installed this system to a generator in London that has been prone to vandalism in the past.

This system uses the ‘Orange’ GPRS network and has tamper alarms fitted. This will alert our 24hr control centre and send SMS to notify the customer. This is also very useful should the unit be removed from site without authorization as this will also set off an alarm notifying the customer, who can then call the police.
